JOConsultancy brings over 25 years of experience of working in the vocational education and training sector, developing training and assessment material, developing components of training packages across many industry areas, carrying out research, and providing expert advice on developing adult language, literacy and numeracy skills.

We have worked with industry stakeholders to develop components of training packages across many industry sectors, and to produce training and assessment materials tuned to the needs of learners and considering their LLN requirements.

We support vocational trainers and assessors to ensure that their practice suits the needs of learners, and provide expert advice on training and assessment content and its alignment to VET standards and LLN frameworks.With many years’ experience in offering consultancy services to the VET sector, we are trusted advisors to several Industry Skills Councils and training organisations throughout Australia.

We offer a range of services to support your organisation’s purpose, goals and challenges in meeting the high quality standards of the sector. We bring an in-depth knowledge of how to meet those needs, and can identify the options available to your organisation in meeting them.

Who are we?

Our Principal Consultant is Jenni Oldfield. Jenni is a recognised expert in analysing and working with language, literacy and numeracy requirements in the VET sector, and an experienced facilitator, instructional designer and project manager. Jenni established JOConsultancy in 2014, after several years working as a Senior Consultant at Precision Consultancy, and prior to that at Kangan Institute and other training organisations in Victoria, South Australia, Northern Territory, Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom. Her work has covered the development of numerous training and assessment resources (both paper-based and online). In addition, she is experienced in research methods to suit the VET sector, training package development, professional development for trainers and assessors and a range of other consultancy services to meet many industry areas with their particular training and assessment needs.

Jenni has worked with and for several Industry Skills Councils, public and private RTOs, many state and commonwealth government departments, and not-for-profit organisations. Her reputation in the VET sector is further demonstrated through her current and active member of the Government appointed Training Package Quality Assurance Panel.
